Since they are now able to time-travel back into the past or future, won’t they also be able to go back and question Melida’s mother whether or not she really was involved in adultery? Sorry if it sounds a bit childish or if I don’t understand the concept of their time-machine. Just a thought that I’ve been thinking about! ༼☯﹏☯༽

I think at that point Kufa now believes Melida is really the Duke daughter, just that she was unlucky to be born manaless:
Lacey La More confirmed that Melida is of a noble bloodline & they now know that manaless children are born in noble houses around Flandore, just keep hidden or eliminated…
Still, I believe there more about Melinoa that will be revealed later, like her death, cause is a strange coincidence that she die right at the age that Melida was supposed to awake her mana…

Wow~ ! ! I didn’t know that manaless children of any of the noble bloodlines were kept hidden away or eliminated. It really gives us a more in-depth idea of what the dystopian and perfect society of Flandore is really like…
It must have been taboo for Melida-chan to live for so long! They WERE actually going to have her assassinated, before Kufa implanting mana to her. I agree that Melinoa [or at least more about her] will appear soon…just to clear up any questions and mysteries.

Gin Williams was a manaless child, his parents abandoned him on one of the villages in the low class districts after his little brother was born, after he ended in the dark guild & became an artificial lycanthrope.
He tell his story to Shenfa on vol.7, but Melida overheard it.
For the “common sense” in Flandore is impossible for the child of a noble to be manaless, he/she will be the shame of the family so hide or eliminate, only a little number of nobles know the true…
So it was easier to believe that Melinoa had an affair, also because Melida don’t inherit any of the Angel family traits too: no silver hair, no blue eyes, she an almost perfect copy of Melinoa.

She needed one of the Duke daughters, for (spoiler) so she kidnap Elise & Salacha, she leaves Melida cause even if she has noble blood she “tainted” with vampire essence & Mule cause she don’t have noble blood. She know about this cause she has clairvoyant powers

That the only one official that Kei Amagi shared on a project of Fantasia Bunko, this year both the mangaka (Yoshie Kato) & Melida VA (Kusunoki Tomori) celebrated her!
I always think that Kufa birthday should be on winter, but we have to wait to see what the author decided! Also since “Kufa” is a fake identity maybe he has both a fake birthday & real birthday! XD

The last 3 chapters of the manga were published in Japan, is just they don’t were translated & I cannot find the raw anywhere… T^T
There were no news of the anime at the moment, and sincerely if there is a 2 season I hope they do better job than the 1! I was just writing with a friend that started it & decided to drop it at ep 5 cause it was to rushed & she was “???” in some parts since she didn’t had read the manga or LN…

Well, at the start of the serie, since there was not much info on Melinoa (actually there not much even now!), the “Melida is an affair child” theory had sense, since that would explain why she was manaless…
But then in Vol.6 Lacey La Mor imply that Melida is indeed of the Angel bloodline (also telling that she “tainted” with vampire essence aka Kufa mana, reason for the birth of the “Vampire Melida” theory! LoL) & in Vol.7 they tell that in Flandore there are others noble children born manaless, just that they are keep as segret in the families or eliminated, Melida being the Angel heiress put her on the spotlight since her birth so that not was possible with her.
Personally I don’t think there was cheating, since the only know romantic relationship of Melinoa was with her husband, there not even hints of romance with others & if she like her daughter she was an open book on romance (that why the White Night can’t find any “affair partner” or “old lover”)! XD
About the Duke cold treatment of Melida: well from what I gathered is more like he was never “parent material”, he doesn’t know how to express himself towards her & the fact she reminds him of Melinoa lost constantly, for their strong resemblance, make him keep her on distance.
If I’m not wrong in Vol.3 the real reason he wanted to remove her from the institute and move her back into his mansion was to protect her, since she had 3 incidents (and 2 were in the school) since she started to go there.

Until proven wrong (not that I think it will happen) Melida IS the Duke biological daughter!
There was no cheating or affair involved in her birth, the rumors started 6 months after Melinoa death when Melida was unable to awake her mana.

I think he never doubted his wife, but he (like Elise) is hard to read and people misunderstand what he do, the problem is that he don’t notice the others don’t are on the same page with him or don’t care…
Well, that just my analysis on the pieces I have on him, I think we should wait to see more of him on the novel & manga!

The manga is still going, but the english scanlators (/a/nonymous) are behind of 4 chapters (or 3 since ch.45 was divided in two parts, april & may).
But I also wish to read vol.4!

No, vol.13 is about Mule past and the Mana origin. I think the vampire king had something to do with Melonia death and Melida dormant power. I am starting to doubt the king is Kufa father or else Theodore would have back after revealing he knew his mother since he is very loyal to his majesty. But it is possible Kufa could be a royal family
